str. 216: "... One of the grounds on which a registration can be
refused or attacked after registration is that the franchisor is in
fact 'trafficking' in trade marks. 'Trafficking' in a mark is
essentially dealing in the mark as a commodity in itself rather than
using it to distinguish your own goods and services or goods and
services with which you are connected in some way from those of
others... The same applies to engaging in a business of registering
and buying and selling marks with no intention of actually using
them."
