Do you have access to the Masaryk University news server at news.muni.cz ?
I am feeding this server with a feed that is current within five minutes
of the news I receive.

Neither rhino.cis.vutbr.cz nor news.muni.cz can take advantage of
streaming, so normally news at these sites would not be delivered as
quickly as I can deliver it over that connection from our 64k link that
also provides a similarly timely feed to SANET.

You can also read from our news server at voskovec.radio.cz, although,
being in Praha and on a very slow congested connection, it will not be
easy.  We keep the important groups for 21 days (comp and so on) and we
try to be as current with these groups as possible.  Your hosts can post,
others in .cz and .sk can read.

One can usually write to the news administrator at <news@machine.name>,
for example, from our current /etc/aliases file,
news:barry+usenet
usenet:barry+usenet
...which you should be able to verify:
expn <news@voskovec.radio.cz>
250 <barry@voskovec.radio.cz>
