Problem Description:

The IOS on the New-York1 and Perryman1 routers will be upgraded

Affected:

Connectivity to and via the US on the DANTE Frankfurt-New York link.
 This work has been scheduled to coincide with the TEN-34 DE PoP relocation
work, as connectivity to the US will already be subject to disruption.

Teleglobe staff connected the ATM link to the backup card on the
New-York1 router, but this had no effect on the situation, so they
are going back to double check their switch and router status.

Both New-York1 and Perryman1 are now loaded with the upgraded software,
however the ATM interface to Teleglobe in New York is not responding,
either with the old software or the new.  The NOC is pursuing this
with Teleglobe.

Teleglobe say that they cannot see any problems, however the NOC
have now tried the old IOS, new IOS and a totally different IOS
version in the New-York1 router, and the ATM VC to Teleglobe does
not work with any of them.

The NOC will continue to investigate in conjunction with Teleglobe.
