"DSL GETS BOOST FROM MCI, DELL
In the last few months it's been trendy to predict cable
modems will kick DSL butt. But there are new signs
this week that DSL may be back in the game. MCI
WorldCom announced rollout of its high-speed DSL
Internet service for businesses and consumers by the
end of the year. Pricing for the "always on" Net access
service: $500 per month for business; $40 to $60 per
month for consumers. Click for more. Meanwhile, on
the heels of Compaq's announcement earlier this week
that it will pack its Presario PCs with high-speed
Internet connection technology, (click for more), Dell
announces it will bundle DSL modems in its Dimension
              line. "
