telephones in the Czech Republic, is the first operator to have fully complied with the
conditions stipulated on 31 December 1997 in the license for operating GSM mobile

Compliance with the licensing conditions relating to the development and quality of the

February 1998.
The EuroTel GSM Global signal, which currently covers more than 90% of the Czech
Republic's population, was used by more than 327,000 customers at the end of 1997.

demanding criteria, we provide the best quality signal in the Czech Republic. This year we
want to invest more than 6 billion CZK for further development of coverage and improvement
of the signal, for example, inside buildings and in small and remote locations," Iva
Taťounová, EuroTel's spokesperson, emphasized in this respect.
