EUROTEL AGAIN FULFILLS LICENCE REQUIREMENTS
On 17th August 1998 EuroTel, the largest GSM and NMT operator in the Czech
Republic, received an approval of the full extent fulfillment of the licence requirements
for the GSM network in the letter from Ing. David Stádník, the Chief Director of the
Czech Telecommunications Office/ČTÚ/.
”We are delighted to have received confirmation of the highest quality of our network
from the Chief Director of the Czech Telecommunications Office.” said Jamie
Macdonald, acting Chief Executive and Chief Operating
Officer .”
”This licence approval comes as a further good news for our well in exess of 450.000
customers and the thousands taking advantage of our GSM 2nd anniversary
promotion phone for 98,- Kč only.”
EuroTel has so far invested well over 17 Billion Czech koronas in capital alone and
continues to invest in expanding the range and depth of cellular coverage throughout the
Czech Republic.

EuroTel Praha Ltd is a joint venture between SPT TELECOM Inc. (51%) and Atlantic West B.V.
(49%). Atlantic West B.V. is jointly owned by Bell Atlantic (NYSE:BEL) and MediaOne
International, which is a part of the MediaOne Group (NYSE:UMG).
