The Czech Republic is the first country in the world where mobile phone customers can send short text messages with pictures! As of 6^th April 1999 new GO customers can be a part of this new mobile communication phenomenon thanks to EuroTel.

They will be the first ones in the world who can send and receive short text messages with pictures as the first ones in the world thanks to the GO STAR pack with the Philips Savvy mobile telephone. With new GO STAR mobile communication has taken on yet another dimension because the GO STAR pack contains the first mobile telephone with picture SMS messages – "GO SMAJLÍCI". Owners of GO STAR will discover a new way of SMS communication: through pictures, no words needed.

The GO STAR pack contains the innovative Philips Savvy handset, which operates in the GSM 900 standard, stands out with its modern ergonomic design and weights only 140 grams. With its size of 129x48x24 mm it is an ideal pocket phone that offers great functionality. Including ease of control, fast access to its functions, well arranged MENU/operator‘s MENU, Czech language in the handset, possibility of optional accessories, 20 different ringing tones including the special GO song and especially – the ability to send GO SMAJLÍCI (SMS picture messages)! There are 28 different GO SMAJLÍCI in the memory of the mobile telephone.

You can buy the new GO STAR pack in two attractive colors – in black and yellow. The pack contains Transceiver + antenna, NiMH 700 mAh battery, travel charger (EU standard), instruction manual and in addition to that a leather case. The new GO STAR pack comes in exclusive holograph packaging together with a GO card and 500 CZK GO voucher for 7.995 CZK.

From mid February this year GO customers can also use the GO SMS – short message sending - service, there are no activation fees or any other charges. After a GO SMS message is sent the updated credit appears on the display within approximately 15 minutes.

Another unique advantage is that a customer using the GO service also gets a text message that informs them when, and how much, credit was deducted for the GO SMSs that they sent. It is possible to send GO SMS messages within the EuroTel GSM network, as well as to customers of other operators including those outside the Czech Republic.

So now with GO SMS GO customers can use EuroTel information services to their full extent; including for example: GSM InfoText, SMS Reminder and SMS Plus. The price of these services is subject to the valid price list of EuroTel services.
