- GO FELICIA


EuroTel and Škoda Auto, two leading companies in the mobile communication and car industries, combined their products
into one – GO FELICIA.

As of 26^th April 1999 EuroTel Praha together with Škoda Auto a.s. introduce GO FELICIA – a special offer combining a EuroTel GO phone and Škoda Felicia automobile. GO FELICIA is the first pre-paid service in the world based on the analogue T!P network (NMT 450 system).

The service is implemented using the latest IN (Intelligent Network) technology. A practical result of this type of service is that you get a mobile telephone automatically with the purchase of a Škoda Felicia vehicle. You do not pay any monthly charges, you do not get any bills, and you do not fill in any forms or sign contracts. You simply drive and make calls.

The new set introduced under the business name of GO FELICIA contains Nokia 540b mobile telephone in blue-gray colour with accessories, the Li-Ion 1500mAh high duty battery, light “Hands Free” set for safe driving , GO voucher in the value of 500 Kč and information materials. GO FELICIA will be a standard part of GO FELICIA vehicle equipment as of 26^th April till the end of July, the vehicles will be introduced to the market by Škoda Auto a.s. Price of the new GO FELICIA set is a part of the special Felicia, Felicia Combi, Felicia Vanplus and Pickup vehicles offer. It applies to all 1999 models with 1.3 l engine and 50 kW output in the complete twelve colour range. Special GO FELICIA LEASING from ŠKOFIN is also part of the offer.

The service and its operation are identical with the GO service in the EuroTel GSM Global network. There is only one exception – it does not provide SMS messages. Customers are informed about their credit balance by an interactive voice response unit. GO FELICIA mobile telephones can be recharged by existing GO vouchers, available in thousands of shops across the Czech Republic. GO vouchers are now valid for 18 months with all GO phones.

At the same time tariffs of the GO FELICIA service are up to 50 % lower than for other GO products.

EuroTel repeatedly proves that it belongs to the leading operators not only in the Czech Republic but also in the world market of mobile communications,” said Steve Langkamp executive director of the sales and marketing division of EuroTel. “Just recently it introduced the first mobile telephone with picture text messages – GO STAR - and now the first pre-paid service in the world on an NMT network – GO FELICIA,” added Steve Langkamp. ”We are delighted to be working with Škoda in creating such an extraordinary offer.”

“The offer of the GO FELICIA set is based on our permanent effort to satisfy individual needs of our customers,” emphasized Iva Taťounová, spokesperson of the company.

The GO FELICIA product was developed exclusively for ŠKODA AUTO a.s. and for their dealer network. Therefore this product will not be distributed and sold in EuroTel brand stores and at EuroTel authorized dealers. EuroTel will provide consultations and service.
