EuroTel as the first
telecommunications company in the Czech Republic was awarded the prestigious international
ISO 9001 Quality certificate; in other words, the company has successfully completed an
international ISO 9001 quality standards audit.
“The Certificate is, without any doubts, a proof that EuroTel does not leave
quality to chance, it is a proof that the company consciously considers it a priority in
providing services to our customers. We have always placed quality in the first place and
we intend to continue in this,” said the Managing Director of EuroTel Ed Kingman.
“We have organized our everyday activities so that they would comply with the strict
requirements of this international standard.”
Independent auditors from the international RWTÜW certifying organization confirmed that
EuroTel activities are mutually interconnected and standardized, which guarantees stable
and consistent service provision to customers.
ISO 9001 standard was originally established to guarantee quality of complicated products
dependent on quality of individual components delivered by different manufacturers. Use of
this standard is by far common in the area of services at the moment; therefore being
awarded this certificate does not only confirm EuroTel‘s leading position in the mobile
communications market, it also proves the important role EuroTel plays in the Czech
market. Thus EuroTel, as the first operator of mobile telephones in the Czech Republic,
becomes a member of this “prominent club” of a few certified mobile operators in the
whole world.
A certificate such as ISO 9001 is important not only for large businesses that prefer
to purchase goods and services at certified partners, but also for other customers for
whom the certification is a proof of top quality services.
“We do not consider fulfillment of the requirements of the exacting standard as a
goal we reached, we understand it as a necessary presumption of further development of all
our services, from the network quality up to pleasant smiles in our stores,” emphasized
Alexander Winkler, Deputy Managing Director of EuroTel Praha.
“We have always talked about the fact that we are the number one in the area of
mobile communications in this county. Today our customers can be sure that it is not, and
has never been, only a statement,” added Alexander Winkler.
