THE ONLY MOBILE PHONE OPERATOR
IN THE FIRST TWENTY OF THE CZECH TOP 100


Shortly after receiving the prestigious ISO 9001 certification of quality, EuroTel Praha received another significant award, this time in the CZECH TOP 100 ranking of major Czech firms in 1998, placing twentieth in its overall rating in competition with more than eight hundred other companies.

Besides the overall rating, many other categories were evaluated, and EuroTel occupies a leading position in all of them. In the evaluations according to sectors of activities, i.e., in telecommunications and postal services, EuroTel came in second, right behind SPT Telecom, and in an overall evaluation of the Prague region, EuroTel placed in the top ten, again the only mobile communications operator to do so. In the largest net profit category, EuroTel came in fourth, and in the greatest growth category, EuroTel achieved second place.

"The ratings that we have achieved are proof of the reliability of our services, but, above all of the faith of our customers," said EuroTel's General Director, Ed Kingman, on the occasion of the announcement of the CZECH TOP 100 for 1998 ratings.

The gala announcement of the fifth annual edition of the most significant Czech firms, the CZECH TOP 100, took place on 16 June 1999 in the Troja Castle in Prague, and in addition to representatives of the most successful companies, the ceremony was attended by the prime minister of the Czech Republic, which testifies to the prestige and importance of this rating of companies.

However, beyond this outstanding position, we must see the immeasurable amount of work done by and the élan and enthusiasm demonstrated by EuroTel employees. Our successes bind us, and we are prepared to continue providing global quality at affordable prices," Mr. Kingman added.
