NEWS FROM THE CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT
Dear customers,
Allow us on behalf of the Customer Service Department staff to wish you success in the new
year and also to thank you for the favor you showed us in 1996. We realize that we did not
always meet your expectations in the second half of last year. The great interest in GSM
Global services forced you to demonstrate considerable patience and tolerance regarding
the activation period and the waiting period needed for connection to our information
center operators. We would like to assure you that we are going to try this year to
provide services of the highest possible quality which will lead to your complete
satisfaction. |

The first change which should
contribute to this is the expansion of the Customer Service Department hours. Our
department began around-the-clock operation at the beginning of 1997. You can now contact
us at any hour of the day or night at the telephone number you already know so well:
02/67016701 or *11 from a mobile phone. Our staff is ready to provide you with information
regarding the mobile phone, the provided services, or your bill. We hope that you accept
this change as another step to contributing to your satisfaction.
Since fall 1996, EuroTel Praha has been offering discounted NMT Classic and GSM Global
mobile phones. This offer met with an unexpectedly positive response. Many of you, our new
customers, took advantage of this chance, which is why we’d like to inform you about the
operation of discounted telephones.
The conditions for participating in this event are stipulated in the Application Addendum
which is part of the Application for Telecommunications Services by the EuroTel Public
Radiotelephone Network. Article II of the cited Addendum defines the duration of the
Addendum’s validity--18 months from when the Contract assumes effect. In the Addendum,
you undertake not to request discontinuance of the service provision during this period on
grounds caused on your part, and not to terminate the Contract.
We would like to point out that termination of the Contract is also understood to be a
”number transfer,” when another legal or physical entity becomes the owner of your
telephone. These cases also include a request to supplement an organization identification
or tax number to the data on the physical entity specified in the Service Application.
If your SIM card is stolen, you may request in writing that the services be discontinued,
conditional, however, on your providing without undue delay a copy of the theft report
verified by the Czech Police. If within 14 days from the time you ascertain the theft you
request at any of our sales locations that the stolen SIM card be exchanged, you will
receive a new SIM card for a fee according to the Service Price List and the conditions of
the Application Addendum are not violated.
If you decide temporarily to discontinue using the services, to terminate the Contract, or
if you fail to request an SIM card exchange in the event of theft, you loss the
conditional discount. In such an event, we will issue and send you a bill for the amount
which represents the difference between the purchase price of the mobile phone and the
discounted price. The difference is specified in Article III of the Application Addendum.
Other changes, e.g. program service changes, change of address, engagement of optional
services, etc., are not limited by the Application Addendum and are provided to the same
extent to all our customers. We would be glad to answer any of your further potential
inquiries. |
