Word of introduction

Dear customers,

Iva Tatounová

You are holding this year's second edition of EuroTel Praha´s magazine. It should be an effective means of bringing you exhaustive information about the services which our company has prepared for you. For many of you, our magazine is something new since you have just recently become our customers. We hope that our magazine doesn't get lost in the flood of all the possible periodicals and that you welcome it as a useful aid in saving you time.

The mobile phone is slowly becoming one of the symbols of today's rushed times. Its indisputable advantage is the ability to call at any time, from anywhere, at the moment of need. It is expanding the ranks of those who have become accustomed to it as something very practical and useful. Perhaps as you followed the world championship in ice hockey you noticed the number of calling fans at the stadiums in Helsinki and Turk. It's no surprise since Finland, along with its neighbor and traditional rival Sweden, is one of the countries with the largest number of mobile phones in the world. The new products which EuroTel is preparing for its customers will surely contribute to the number of mobile phone users growing quickly. Most of all, GSM Global coverage in the Czech Republic continues to expand. From a map showing this coverage, it is clear that today you can place a call even from locations which rank among the favorite tourist areas. Thanks to roaming agreements which we have signed with 49 partners in a total of 34 countries, you don't have to loss contact with your family, friends, co-workers, or business partners even when you're on vacation abroad.

An absolutely new product is represented in changes in service programs which EuroTel offers mobile phone owners. In May, we introduced a new program entitled START. With a monthly fee of 295 CZK, this program became the all-around most accessible in the domestic market. The monthly GLOBAL fee was reduced to 795 CZK while the number of free minutes doubled! REGION, previously accessible only in northern and southern Moravia, expanded practically throughout the entire republic with the exception of central Bohemia and Prague. All of these changes make EuroTel mobile phones available to new groups of people and our clientele thus continues to grow to include small businessmen, entrepreneurs and families.

What shouldn't you overlook in this edition?
Namely the vast material which answers questions regarding paying bills. The matter of free minutes, deposit payments, and options for paying bills, are all among the most frequent inquiries. The article entitled "Dealing With Bills" offers you comprehensive information. The new product for spring, the miniature GF 788 mobile phone by Ericsson, surely caught the eye of those of you for whom the mobile phone has not only become a means of communicating but also a technological and designer point of interest. This edition brings you more detailed information about that, in terms of size, certainly unique telephone. And we would then like to point you toward the poll on page 25. We hope you'll take advantage of the chance to express your opinion on the current form of the EuroTel magazine and that you will thus be more and more satisfied with our magazine in the future.

Wishing you a sunny summer,

Iva Taťounová
