EUROTEL IN NEW BUILDING
On Friday, October 22, 1997 the new building on Sokolovská street No.
855 was opened in the presence of Mr. Mac Allman, the general director of EuroTel Praha.
In the new building there are all the departments of the company, which adds to the smooth
running of the business, and helps the solution of any problems that might arise. A new
specialized shop of the EuroTel Praha is also situated on the premises. The total number
of the specialized shops run by the company has risen to six, which also contributes to
the general accessibility of the company and to the satisfaction of its customers. |

INVEX COMPUTER 1997
As it does every year, the EuroTel Praha took an active part in the
Invex Computer fair trade which took place at the Brno Trade Fair Grounds between October
13 and October 17, 1997. The island stand with a total area of 210 m2 was installed in the
center of the Z Pavilion.
There was a complete presentation of provided services and products:
"Weekend" service - cheap calls on weekends, Data Plus Pack - the package for
data communication in GSM, 602forGSM - software for data communication in GSM, new
telephones - Motorola SlimLite and Phillips Genie |
On Tuesday, October 14, the newly prepared "GO" service, the pre-paid service in
the GSM system, was presented in the form of one-hour program.
During the Invex 1997, there were 9 base stations of EuroTel in operation in the Brno Fair
Trade Grounds area. There was an indoor coverage of the following pavilions: A1, A2, B, D,
E, G1, G2, and Z. It is clear that there was provided a sufficient coverage and capacity
on the Fair Grounds. The program also contained entertainment including dancing, acrobatic
jumping on the trampoline, and talk shows with popular TV personalities - Hana
Heřmánková, Pavel Zedníček, and Petr Nárožný. The biggest attraction was the
competition for 3 CAGIVA scooters, and our congratulations to the winners.

• at the end of September, EuroTel provided its services for more than
316,000 customers, and that this amount represents an increase by 250% in comparison to
the same period in 1996
• approximately 251,000 customers used their mobile phones in the EuroTel Global
network, and additional 65,000 in the EuroTel Classic network
• at the moment, the EuroTel GSM Global signal covers 81% of the area and 88% of
population
• in September this year, EuroTel introduced a new service with the trade name of
Weekend, which can be added to any service program, and which enables the customer to make
200 minutes of calls on Saturday, Sunday, and on state holidays for the exceptional price
of CZK 1 per minute and all this for a monthly fee of only CZK 95
• roaming contracts, which enable the use of mobile phones abroad have been signed with
65 partners in 42 countries
The EuroTel GSM Global mobile phones can be used for example in Andorra, Australia,
Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Gibraltar,
Hong Kong, Croatia, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, South Africa, Cyprus, Lebanon, Lithuania,
Latvia, Luxembourg, Hungary, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal,
Austria, Romania, Russia, Greece, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, United States, Spain,
Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, and Great Britain.

NEWS IN ROAMING
One of the advantages of the EuroTel GSM Global communication system is that the mobile
phone can be also used in countries which have signed roaming contracts with EuroTel
Praha.

daily newspaper. The information about the winning numbers will not be provided over the
phone. In case you find "your" number on the list, congratulations, and you can
look forward to the prize. Then, please, read the list carefully to find out where and
when you can get your prize.
According to the old saying, now, you will be lucky all the year round. If
"your" number isn't on the list, don't despair, and remember some other saying,
for example that one about ups and downs ... There will surely be more than enough
opportunities during the year to smile ...
