A press conference with Dominik Hašek was held in the hotel Inter-Continental on June 27, 1998.

Iva Taťounová, EuroTel Praha press spokesperson, was gladly in charge of announcing EuroTel´s becoming the main partner for the EuroTel Dream Game hockey event prepared for August 6, 1998 in the Czech Republic.

The press conference was also attended by EuroTel-EuroTel Mobilers hockey team representatives.

EuroTel Dream Game also contributed to abandoned children

EuroTel Praha became the leading partner of the hockey event which took place in the Czech Republic under the name of EUROTEL DREAM GAME in the Prague-Holešovice Sports Arena on August 6, 1998.

Thanks to support from EuroTel Praha, the “Team of Stars“ from the NHL (including the likes of Vjačeslav Fetisov, Peter Bondra, Miloš Holán, and others) met up against the “Golden Team“ of Olympic champions from Nagano which was represented by its members, including the main initiators of the entire event, Dominik Hašek and Jaromír Jágr. The idea for this match was brought into being upon the triumphant return from Nagano back to the Czech Republic and began to take shape immediately after the hockey plays returned. Its purpose was to commemorate the wild February celebrations after the historic triumph of Czech hockey in Nagano.

The sold out Sports Arena and ČT1 (Czech Television 1) viewers were able to watch the bilaterally offensive game with lots of goals. Players on both teams gave the live and applauding crowd a truly spectacular experience with a final score of 10:7 in favor of the Golden Team.

Iva Taťounová, the EuroTel Praha press spokesperson, presented on this occasion a financial donation of 2,350,000 CZK to the Měleč Children’s Home. The donation designated for reconstruction was received by the Children’s Home director, Mgr. Jiřina Moudrová. The EuroTel Dream Game was also stage to the announcement of the viewer’s choice poll for the best Czech hockey player playing abroad. This was put on by the BPA agency. The three best hockey player were Dominik Hašek, Jaromír Jágr, and Petr Svoboda. The new owner of a Ford Ka, equipped with mobile phone and a hands-free set from EuroTel Praha, was drawn by Dominik Hašek from all the contestants who sent in their guess to the hockey player.

“EuroTel is the foremost partner of Czech hockey and the Czech Ice Hockey Association. In the EuroTel Dream Game, the best in hockey shook hands with the best quality services. We are more than happy to donate the proceeds from the EuroTel Dream Game to the reconstruction of the Children’s Home in Měleč. That way not only hockey fans could enjoy the sporting event but also abandoned children,“ says Iva Taťounová, EuroTel Praha press spokesperson.
