is to be able to use roaming on personal or business trips. It is the effort of EuroTel
Praha to make this ability accessible to its clients in a growing number of countries
around the world--to expand its network of roaming partners. |

One of our other partners, with which the signature of a
roaming contract on the part of may clients was patiently awaited, was Canada. Microcell
Connection, the operator with which the roaming contract was signed, operates the Fido
network which uses PCS 1900 MHz parameters. That is why--as with Omnipoint in USA--mobile
telephones with the corresponding parameters must be used. You can purchase or lease such
a telephone thanks to the new EuroTel Rent service in the Prague Ruzyně Airport,
Sokolovská 855-Prague 9, and Jindřišská-Prague 1 locations. Your SIM card is
compatible and operates the same as normal roaming when being used in the Microcell (Fido)
network. The costs for calls placed in these countries will be included in your monthly
bill from EuroTel Praha. The Customer Service Department is ready to offer you more
detailed information about this service (*11--from a mobile phone, 0800 1 80011--free of
charge from a fixed line). Signal coverage in Canada is expansive and is continually
expanding. You mobile phone will already operate in these regions: Vancouver, Victoria,
Quebec, Otawa/Hull, Grand Montreal, Greater Toronto Area, Edmonton, Alberta, Calgary,
Whistler. Orientation coverage maps are available in the Customer Service Department or on
the Internet.
Microcell provides common GSM services such as receipt and transmission of text
messages, call holding, conference calls, call forwarding and blocking, fax and data
transmissions (this service has not yet been completely tested, so EuroTel Praha does not
guarantee its functionality).
If you have any inquiries while staying in Canada, you can take advantage of
Microcell´s non-stop customer service. For English speakers, the telephone numbers are +
1 888 481 with direct dialing number 3436. For French speakers, the number is + 1 888 482
with direct dialing number 3436. When calling from a mobile phone, you can use 611.
Canada’s emergency calling number is 911.
