For those who attended at least one of the introduction and mixer activities organized on
weekends by EuroTel Praha during the summer months, these lines will be a pleasant memory.
For those who didn’t have this opportunity, we’ll try to give you the gist of some of
the good times.
During July and the two first weekends in August, a program to introduce the summer
selection--the Sunny Set--accompanied by a sporting and entertainment program always got
started at 12 p.m. at the most prominent and most often frequented swimming pools and
recreation centers (Lipno, Máchovo Lake, Hracholusky, Brno dam, Hostivařská dam, etc.).
Young and attractive hostesses willingly provided detailed information about the Sunny Set
and assisted those persons with interest in calling from a Philips Diga telephone which is
part of the Sunny Set. The sporting contests like Sunny beach volleyball, badminton, GO
net games, rings, swimming and dancing contests, enjoyed great success and the winners
were certainly delighted by the small prizes. The entire program was accompanied by
presentations by the Emergency Service which gained significance when the floods hit,
various dance numbers, aerobic, a four-wheeler motor show, a jet ski water show, etc. The
program always climaxed with the drawing of winners of all the contests who were rewarded
with valuable gifts or boat, jet ski, or four-wheeler, rides. Many of the visitors took
advantage of the current attraction--bungee jumping--to overcome their fear.
Thousands of people also got to
know the summer selection of EuroTel and find out that their services and products are not
just the privilege of active businessmen but can also make life easy and be a useful
companion that can even save your life...

Rolling Stones in Prague
EuroTel Praha became the leading partner of
the Rolling Stones concert held August 22, 1998 in Prague. This occasion witnessed the
announcement of a contest for a sporty Yamaha 600 YZF motorbike that was open to every
active user of EuroTel services who attended this concert. On August 28, 1998, during a
live broadcast on Radio Vox, the lucky winner was drawn in the presence of a notary
public.

The Golden Ford Ka has its owner
On August 5, 1998, a golf tournament of hockey players was held at the Zámek Štiřín
golf course as part of the EuroTel Dream Game. For this occasion, EuroTel Praha press
spokesperson Iva Taťounová, accompanied by Martin Procházka and David Moravec,
presented the golden Ford Ka--the main prize of the contest open to all who activated the
GO service or applied for activation (NMT, GSM) at a EuroTel Praha distribution network
sales location from April 6 to May 31, 1998. Mr. Miroslav Dvořák from Poříčany, who
entered the contest by activating the GO service which he gave his mother for her
birthday, became the happy owner of the new car. Once again we sincerely congratulate and
wish him many happy kilometers and adventurous trips which Mr. Miroslav Dvořák plans to
make will his family and mother in the new car.
