Year's end-a time of celebrations, wishes and balancing. All the more since 1998, which is about to come to an end, was extraordinarily successful for EuroTel Praha.
Primarily-the number of customers who use mobile phones in EuroTel networks crossed the half-million mark in September of this year and is approaching more record numbers. In 1998, EuroTel additionally provided services to more than a million mobile phone owners from around the world when they took advantage of EuroTel GSM Global network services in terms of roaming agreements when visiting the Czech Republic.
Month after month as we regularly introduced new products and services, a number of customers made use of attractive discounts and offers. The number of customers using the GO service, discounted rates for the Week and Weekend programs or those of other supplemental programs and services designed for mobile phone owners, considerable grew. The offering was expanded to include the new, advantageous TIP TOP and TIP 60 programs in the TIP network. To put it briefly, we want everyone to find what they're looking for in our EuroTel stores and for the individual programs and services we offer to be as close as possible to each customer's expectations, needs and demands! In short, for your EuroTel mobile phone to be a universally effective and reliable aid in all sorts of situations.
We are getting other new products ready for the upcoming season, as well. I hope that you'll meet up with the EuroTel Praha logo and brand in 1999 only in relation to services of the highest quality. We are grateful for our customers' trust since it obligates us to provide the highest quality services. I am sure that in the offering we are preparing for the upcoming season you will find products and services which will catch your eye and which you will surely appreciate at work and in private. We realize that terms such as partnership, support and civil solidarity are part of doing business. That is why we will be supporting, as we have in the past, various generally beneficial projects and humanitarian, cultural and sporting events.
