One of the first roaming partners of EUROTEL PRAHA.
At present, or more precisely as of 23.2.1999, EuroTel Praha has roaming contracts with
112 operators in 62 countries around the world.
Back in 1991 EuroTel Bratislava became one of our first roaming partners.
A bit of history…
In 1991 two companies were created as the operators of the first NMT 450 public mobile
telephone system in the Czechoslovak Republic, EuroTel Praha and EuroTel Bratislava. The
two companies were closely linked by common management and a joint billing system.
On the day when the two NMT 450 networks were opened - 12.9.1991 - NMT roaming was
launched.
In 1996 both companies won a licence to operate the GSM 900 system. At this time an
independent billing system had already been created in EuroTel Bratislava and the company
was transformed into a joint-stock company with its own management. EuroTel Praha
naturally became one of its first roaming partners.
Commercial roaming between the two companies' GSM networks was then launched on 3.3.1997. |

change to alter the prices for use of its international roaming services. This appendix to
the Price List of Basic and Optional Services is applicable from 23.2.1999.
