The meetings will be in the Institute of Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the
Czech Republic. A conference room for about 30 people is booked for 28-30/11.
The room has usual equipment.
The E-mail access will be available in the Institute.
Accomodation is booked in the hotel
Mazanka
for 26-30/11.
One accomodation unit (1 single room + 1 double room + shower) costs 600 Kc per night
(20 Kc = 1 CHF).
The hotel is 5 min walking distance from the Institute and 30 min by tram from the
City center.
If
you
want to stay there, send me a mail with a dates of your arrival and departure.
Lunch is booked in the restaurant in nearby Ladvi (see the
map).
The price may be about 100Kc per person.
The social dinner will be on Monday in the pub U Fleku. The cost is about 350Kc.
The weather in Prague is about the same as in Geneva. Maybe a little colder. And, unfortunately,
more smoggy.
You will pay:
- 100Kc for services (cafe, etc).
- 350Kc for dinner in the pub U Fleku.
- 100Kc (about) for one lunch.
- 600Kc for one night in one unit (3 persons) in Mazanka-hotel.
It is easily possible to change money in Prague downtown and the rate is generaly better then in Geneva.
It is, however, not possible to change money near the Institute, so maybe you should change some amount
before comming. Major Credit-Cards are usualy accepted in downtown Prague, in hotels, some shops and
restaurants.
- Go to the Metro. If you come by train, the Metro station is right under
the Railway Station. If you come by plane, take the bus number 119 to the Metro.
- Then go to the station Palmovka on the Metro-line B and there
the tram 12 or 24.
Or go to the station Nadrazi Holesovice on the Metro-line C and there
the tram 17. Go by tram to the stop Ladvi.
- Then follow the
map.
- NOTE: The tickets for Prague public transport costs 6 Kc and cannot be bought in busses and trams.
