The Computer Science and Telecommunications Board of the National Research
Council conducted a briefing on their new report, "Realizing the Information
Future," on May 25 at the National Academy of Sciences.

The briefing included talks by 3 of the members of the panel that wrote the
report:

         Dr. Leonard Kleinrock, Chair, Computer Science Department,
         School of Engineering and Applied Science, UCLA.

         Dr. David Clark, Senior Research Scientist, Laboratory for
         Computer Science, MIT.

         Ms. Connie Stout, Director, Texas Education Network, Texas
         Education Agency, Austin.
