![DIRECT BILLING FROM YOUR BANK ACCOUNT](../imgs_us/n_m3_direct.GIF)
The option of collecting payments for using the mobile
telephone directly from the client's bank account has been becoming increasingly more
popular. In order to make this effective method accessible to the widest possible circle
of clients, we have been offering the option of limited billing since July 1997. Apart
from detailed information about this new option, we have also summarized the advantages of
collection payments.
Direct billing is a modern and effective method of payment, eliminating the need for you
to repeatedly pay your bills by bank transfer orders or by postal orders, and at the same
time it gives you the certainty that your bills will be paid on time. It goes without
saying that you will continue receiving your statements with all the details concerning
the use of your mobile phone, including the total amount billed for the given period.
Accounts paid by direct billing will be marked "Do not pay, paid by direct
billing".
How to arrange direct billing ?
All you need is to have a current account at any bank in the Czech Republic. You can make
your account accessible for direct billing either with or without a limit by asking your
bank for Confirmation of Opening the Account for Direct Billing on behalf of EuroTel
Praha. The bank's Confirmation and a written Application for Payments by Direct Billing
(you will find both forms attached to this article) you will then mail or fax them to our
Customer Service Department or drop them off at any EuroTel brand-name shop or authorized
dealer. Billing for the billing period during which you apply for the payments by direct
billing will be paid by direct billing, provided that your application is delivered at
least seven working days before the end of the given billing period. Direct billing can be
arranged either for a specified period of time or for an indefinite time. The minimum
period for collection payments is 3 billing periods.
Direct billing with and without limit
If you arrange for your limited direct billing account number, you will be sure that an
amount exceeding the limit you have specified cannot be deducted from your account. You
arrange this limit with EuroTel. Your bank account must be made accessible for unlimited
direct billing or with a direct billing limit equal or greater than the limit you have
arranged with EuroTel Praha. The minimum limit for payments by collection is 2000 CZK.
Invoices issued for an amount exceeding the limit that you have specified will bear a note
"Direct billing limit exceeded - bill has not been paid!". In such an event, the
bill will not be collected from your bank account and you will have to pay it in full
either by bank transfer or by postal order.
If you choose unlimited direct billing, your bank account must be open to EuroTel without
any limit. After arranging the direct billing service, all payments due for telephone
usage on your account number will be collected regardless of the amount billed for the
given billing period.
How to determine the limit for direct billing: The direct billing limit should be derived
from your average expenses for mobile telephones over several past billing periods. For
example if your average bill for mobile telephones on the given client account has been
4,230 CZK, the direct billing limit should be set somewhere between 5,000 CZK and 7,000
CZK. If you already have the direct billing service on your account and are now thinking
about setting a limit, please inform us in writing about the limit you have chosen.
Changing the direct billing limit
You can either increase or decrease the direct billing limit by sending your application
in writing to our Customer Service Department. We repeat again that the minimum limit is
2,000 CZK.
Canceling direct billing
You can cancel direct billing by sending an application in writing (by letter or fax) to
our Customer Service Department or by filling out the "Application for Change"
form at any EuroTel brand-name shop or authorized dealer.
Important information
* Payment by direct billing does not limit your right to question the bill if you object
to the amount billed.
* If at the time of the transaction there are insufficient funds in your bank account,
this does not relieve you of your obligation to pay for the services rendered by EuroTel.
If you have not found the explanation concerning the option of paying by direct billing
satisfactory, please contact the Customer Service Department. Our operators are available
to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on our telephone numbers.
