Cross posted to libref-l, nettrain, and pacs-l.

About one month ago, I got into a conversation with our Director of
Computers Services about well constructed Gophers. I received a number
of responses form libref-l, pacs-l, and nettrain readers as to which
Gophers they would recommend as being particularly well constructed.
Let me say that one of my questions has never elicited as much
response for a copy of my findings as this question did!

Anyway, thanks to all who responded. I am sorry that it has taken me
so long to summarize, but I have been exceedingly busy this semester.
So here is the summary.

North Carolina State University--favorites of three people! Gopher to
dewey.lib.ncsu.edu 70

Gopher Jewels at University of Southern California--cited by two
people. Gopher to cwis.usc.edu.

InfoSlug at Univeristy of California Santa Cruz--cited by two people.
Gopher to scilibx.ucsc.edu:70.

WiscInfo at University of Wisconsin Madison--gopher to
gopher.adp.wisc.edu or telnet to wiscinfo.wisc.edu.

Legal Information System at Washburn Law School--telnet acc.wuacc.edu,
login <law> or <washlaw>.

University of Durham (UK)--gopher to delphi.dur.ac.uk 70.

University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN

MountainNet's AMI Gopher--gopher to gopher.mountain.net

State University of New York Albany Library

Univeristy of California Irvine--gopher to peg.cwis.uci.edu

Kent State University--gopher to refmac.kent.edu 70

U.S. Dept. of Education--gopher to gopher.ed.gov

I have used perhaps one- third of these. I have not checked every
address to make sure that it is right, but am trusting the writer of
the posts. If anyone wants an idea for a journal article, perhaps he
or she could explore each of these at length and write reviews on them!

Thanks again to all who participated in this survey.
